The Mistral Sweater Baby is a structured sweater designed for the little ones. The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. You begin by working the back, shaped with German short rows to ensure a comfortable fit. Stitches are then picked up along the back to form each shoulder, which are worked separately toward the front. Once the front and back are joined, the body is worked in the round, allowing the structured pattern to flow seamlessly into the final ribbed hem. The sleeves and neckline are formed by picking up stitches directly from the yoke, creating a cohesive, assembly-free construction.
Yarn amount: 100 (150) 150 (150-200) 200 (200) gr Yak from Lang Yarns (50 gr = 120 m / 131 yd). 3 buttons (15 mm).
Gauge: 18 sts x 24 r = 10 x 10 cm [4" × 4"] in structure and stockinette
Needles: 5 mm / US 8 circular needles (40 or 60 cm / 16" or 24"), 4.5 mm / US 7 circular needles (40 or 60 cm / 16" or 24"), and DPNs or a long circular needle (80–100 cm / 32–40”) for magic loop in 3 mm / US 2.5, 4.5 mm / US 7, and 5 mm / US 8.
