Mikkel Balaclava Mini is a timeless balaclava for little ones, designed with a focus on fit, comfort, and functionality. The balaclava is worked top down in Stockinette Stitch. It begins with a square top panel, after which stitches are picked up and knitted along both sides. The piece is then worked flat to shape the neck before additional stitches are cast on to join the work in the round. Once the neck opening has been shaped, the balaclava is worked in the round to the desired length. The lower edge is finished with a wide ribbed hem in Contrast Color 1 (CC1). Stitches are then picked up along the front opening to work neat double-knit edges, and the balaclava is completed with a ribbed edging in front in Contrast Color 2 (CC2). The result is a timeless, playful, and practical garment that is equally suited for everyday wear, outdoor adventures, and daycare.
