Boucle Top
Boucle Top
Boucle top is knitted by first shaping the upper part of the front piece with german short rows, then casting on stitches for the back piece and knitting in the round while doing decreases. The top ends at the bottom with a small ribb. Finally, you pick up stitches to knit double-knit straps. The top must be washed and blocked at the end, so the stockinette lies flat.
Find your size:
Boucle top is intended for a negative ease of approx. -15 cm. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL correspond to a chest measurement of approx. 85 (90) 95 (100) 105 cm. Example: Your chest measurement is 95 cm. Size M has a width of 80 cm. 80 (garments width) - 95 (chest measurement) = -15 cm. (Note, the boucle top has a negative ease. That is, it is smaller than your bust measurement, to fit tightly around the bust). If you are in between two sizes, I recommend going down a size as the Boucle Top should fit tight.
